AI — Curse or Blessing?

In November 2022, OpenAI caused a lot of media attention with the release of ChatGPT. Within 5 days, the tool had one million users worldwide. Since then, AI has occupied everyone and many are looking into an uncertain future.

The status quo of artificial intelligence

Since the introduction of ChatGPT and various other tools (such as Google Gemini), the language model behind it, including LLM (Large Language Model), has been constantly evolving. OpenAI currently uses the in-house version GPT 4 or GPT 4 Turbo for ChatGPT, which is a multimodal LLM that can process both text and image data and has been trained with a data set of 1.76 trillion parameters.

OpenAI is already working on a new version of GPT, which is being trained once again with far more data sets. However, it must be said that even version 5 is “only” fed with existing knowledge.

The next revolutionary breakthrough will occur as soon as OpenAI, Google or another tech startup has created a generative AI. This is a form of artificial intelligence that generates new content based on guidelines and existing information.

AI and the creative industry

In addition ChatGPT, which can be used to generate and summarize textual and pictorial content, there are many other AI tools developed specifically for specific areas and industries.

With Midjourney or Dall • E Images can be created from text input (also known as prompts) and the results can be refined down to the smallest detail. In addition to photos, works of art or illustrations, you can also use the tools, for example, to design a website or packaging.

In the moving image sector, there is Pika or recently also Sora from OpenAI with which realistic short films or animations can be created.

The future extent of AI in a particular area can be seen at Relume see. There you can design, and publish complete websites without the need for specific programming knowledge.

Tools

Here is a list of tools worth trying out:

A forecast for the future

This was just a small digression on the subject of AI and yet you can guess where the journey will take you in the future.

Every sector will be affected by AI. One more, the other less. And the potential is huge.

Basically, you shouldn't be skeptical of AI and be comfortable with the fact that it will be a part of our lives in the future. You should see this as an opportunity and use the tools specifically to save resources that can be reused elsewhere.
